This time Venky really took a daring step to do a film with all seniors. Except the two teenager girls and a few other small appearances, the main cast of Drushyam included senior actors like Nadiya, Meena, Ravi Kaale, Naresh and others. Given to its universal content and appealing theme, like the Malayalam original movie, Telugu remake ‘Drushyam’ also is enthralling the family audience and has proven a hit film in Tollywood too. Suresh Productions and the entire team of Drushyam celebrated the success on 25th July.
Talking during the celebrations, director Sri Priya revealed a few things about Venky. When she was actually thinking of remaking ‘Drishyam’ into Telugu, she asked senior heroines like Jayasudha, Jayapradha and Radhika on who would be suitable to play the lead for such a family oriented thriller. And their unanimous choice was Venky. True, even the audiences feel that as far as family entertainers with matured content are concerned, he is the best. Senior heroine Nadiya, who played a vital character in the film opined that Venkatesh is a gentleman. Since ‘Drushyam’ hit theaters, it is like raining praises for Venky and team.
