Atleast 16 AIADMK loyalists committed suicide and 10 died of heart attack after hearing that their Puratchi Thalaiva was arrested and put in jail and is in a pitiable condition with cheap pulao served for meals and supplied with just television, one table, 2 chairs, a fan and a cot. Watching the visuals of the deceased, Jaya’s heart melted like ice and immediately Jagan Mohan Reddy flashed in her mind.
She called upon the presently sworn in CM Paneerselvam to meet her immediately. Taking care that he had right sobber expression on his face and adjusting the extent of bend he had to maintain before Jaya, he appeared before her with folded hands and downcast eyes.
Jaya ordered the CM to hold a meeting with YS Jagan Mohan Reddy on the ‘Odarpu Yatra’ and the pre-requisites for such a massive agenda she intends to take up right after she gets bail.
Within a few hours Paneerselvam was in talks with YS Jagan Mohan Reddy. Jagan gave him valuable inputs how to take up ‘Odarpu Yatra’ through the journey, addressing paid meetings and finally offering a huge amount of ONE LAKH to the family of the martyr. He also gave tips on making ‘Odarpu Yatra’ a cost effective strategy which seems to be like a cost failure to common man.
Here are a few tips Jagan offered for Jaya’s Odarpu Yatra…
1. Don’t go directly to the martyr’s family to extend help to the family. Spend atleast a couple of crores to hold meetings on the way.
2. Don’t forget to hug the family members and shed a few tears. Take care to stare at the martyr’s photo with the most sorrowful expression possible. (Paneerselvam is adept at such expressions. Take his help if necessary though you are an actress yourself).
3. Cupping the face of the family elder or girl child and stare into their eyes with tears welled up. (Take care not to frighten the child with the confusing expression of a broad smile mingled with tears).
4. If possible have short meals alongwith the family. Don’t protest to have fruits & idli sambhar, like you did in Parappanna Agrahara Jail.
5. Don’t ask for a special chair for your back ache. Sit on the ground alongwith the family.
6. Though not situational, don’t forget to give an emotional speech attacking the opposition party.
7. Don’t give time to the onlookers to think why you are giving political speech in Odarpu Yatra.
8. Finally, make sure you flash the cheque of ONE LAKH while offering to the family of the deceased.
