It’s election time in Tamil Nadu and responsible actors like legendary Kamal Haasan are voicing their concern against taking cash for vote from political parties. He questions how the people who take cash for vote can question the corrupt leaders.
Kamal Haasan who is playing Sabaash Naidu in his upcoming tri-lingual gave a Sabaash statement. He says, “If you accept money for vote, you will get only a thief as your leader”. How true! Kamal’s words are really thought worthy when he says that we should be ashamed of taking money for vote.
However in a country like India, cash for vote has become like a necessary commodity during elections. Political leaders see the ‘cash for vote’ as their investment and hence are turning politics into business instead of service to people. Will this ever change? Will at least fans give a thought to what Kamal said?
