After what seemed like high dramatic sequences prolonged for a fortnight, finally Rajendra Prasad came out as winner as MAA President. Many of his speeches after winning the elections had a satirical element indirectly poking fun on the rival Jayasudha group in the elections.
Rajendra Prasad didn’t forget maintaining the same during the swearing in ceremony of MAA Executive body held on Sunday evening. He thanked and gave the credit of his win to Hema ( nuvvu gilla batte memu gelichamu) indirectly focussing her drama queen avatar during the MAA election campaign. Besides pun on Hema, RP took pride in reiterating that he has mega family support.
True to his word, Naga Babu donated Rs.6 Lakhs from his family (one lakh each from Sai Dharam Tej and Varun Tej and two lakhs each from Charan and Bunny) for the MAA corpus fund and also announced pensions for 50 poor artists and gave call for all the members to come up with the list of deserving artists with immediate effect. RP as customary, thanked for the inspiration and donations that stared pouring from day one.
