Ram Gopal Varma is back in the news with his soon to release film ‘Killing Veerappan’. The movie, as the name suggests, is based on the forest brigand Veerappan who terrorized Tamil Nadu and Karnataka for more than 40 years.
The highly famed thug had his name for crimes like sandalwood smuggling, ivory trade, abductions, and murder among others. Veerappan was finally killed in 2004 by a special task force, the story of which will be captured in this film.
The release date for the movie has been set on the 13th of November which is also the 15th anniversary of Dr. Rajkumar’s release from Veerappan. Dr. Rajkumar, who, was abducted by the bandit in 2000 and was finally released on November 13th, was a renowned actor in the Kannada Film Industry and a Dadasaheb Phalke awardee.
