What is the film about?
The film is about a politician T.Rajaiah from a socially backward class who suddenly is favoured by the CM bestowing him with Dy.CM post and Health Ministry in a dramtic manner. Within six months, in the same dramatic turn of events he gets sacked by the CM alleging corruption in Health Department and replaced with Sri Hari of the same community. Rajaiah suffers heart attack and lands himself in hospital.
How is Rajaiah’s performance?
Rajaiah down plays his character and never goes out of his way to look the main lead of the film. He is natural and throughout has expressions that suggest he is going to be made the scape goat and the misfortune that will befall him later. His performance evokes sympathy in the audiences.
Direction By KCR?
KCR unveils his multifaceted talent by rendering story, screenplay, direction and musica. He has an interesting story with a well scripted narration. But finds himself including the unwritten ‘heart attack scene’ which wasn’t conceived at all. KCR has immense popularity for making his characters go strictly according to his script but this time he didn’t conceive the crucial ‘heart attack’ scene. Though he could get praise worthy performances from the actors, he didn’t foresee the God’s inevitable play coming into his script.
KCR, Sri Hari & others’ performances?
Actor-director KCR is adept at portraying his character to pitch perfect level and especially to exploit the sentiments of the people. But he faltered a bit towards the end giving scope for a sequel ‘Heart Attack 2’ with tagline ‘Rajaiah returns’. In this prequel, Sri Hari has only a guest role and nothing much to perform.
However Motkupalli Narsimha is praisy worthy though he has only a special role to declare Sri Hari doesn’t belong to Rajaiah’s community.
Music & Other Departments?
Music by KCR isn’t in sink and the BGM totally went haywire. The production values of the health department which is presently hit by SWINE FLU are very low. The pace of the movie is low at the beginning but towards the end, the sequences turn purely dramatic and becomes a roller coaster ride.

Alternative take:
The sudden play of God’s unseen play might not go well with KCR’s fans but for his opponents he handed over a powerful weapon by angering the socially backward community sacking the Dy.CM.
The climax he planned misfired and in a way became a anti-climax for the director-actor but a great one for the main lead Rajaiah. KCR carried the entire load of the film on his shoulders but at the end Rajaiah walks away with all the credit. The film’s abrupt end (Rajaiah suffering heart attack and in hospital) makes the audiences restless because they have to wait for ‘Heart Attack 2’ to know what happened later.
Did I enjoy it?
Yes, like the political analyst who are now going frenzy discussing.
