director-teja-paid-reviewsIn latest interview director lashes out on the critics who give rating to films on the first day itself, sometimes after the morning special shows. Teja says that the ratings given by few websites are already fixed and the rating comes as per the money packet received. Rate is fixed for rating says Teja.

Teja appeals to critics to give criticism in a constructive way. Criticism and rating should be like appraisal to the different departments of film making like script, cinematography, music etc. He questions the eligibility of most of the so called pseudo reviewers. Cinema is an art, one should connect to the film to be able to write a review.

Teja might be correct to some extent and we have seen that in the case of ‘Baahubali’, which got mixed reviews but the film did extraordinarily well. “Baahubali’ remained untouched by mixed reviews. But there are few films that are effected negatively because of bad reviews, especially overseas.

Teja says critics should wait for few days and publish their web reviews. One should agree it’s a valid demand but it has to be a collective decision for all websites. Whether or not reviews impact the film is a never ending debate which both agrees and disagrees with Teja’s opinion.
