‘Rudramadevi’, the upcoming period film starring Anushka Shetty playing the title role is garnering a huge positive buzz in the film circles for the envious star cast and the magnanimity of the project. Besides all that, Allu Arjun’s Gona Ganna Reddy’s look released a couple of days also gave a lot of hype to the movie. Another popular television actress Ulka Gupta who played the title role as young Lakshmi Bai in popular TV serial ‘Jhansi Ki Rani’ has been roped in to play young Rani Rudramadevi for Gunasekhar’s film.
Like Avika Gor who is a household name because of her daily soap ‘Chinaari Pellikuuturu’ (Baalika Vadhu), Ulka Gupta has become equally famous for playing young Jhansi Ki Rani. After a lot of auditions to rope in a Telugu girl to play young Rudrama, Gunasekhar has to finally rope in this girl for the vital role because of her impressive performance in the television serial. She would have a screen time of about half an hour in the film and then Anushka will come in as grown up Rudramadevi. Srikanth’s son Roshan is playing young Bhallala Deva (Rana) in the film.
