raghuvaran-b-tech-movie-reviewWhat is the film about?
It is the struggle of an unemployed B Tech graduate to fulfil the dreams of his mother and father. In that process what are his obstacles and how he overcomes them is what basically the film is about.

How is Dhanush’s performance?
Dhanush is fabulous as usual showcasing his carious gamut of expressions. He is extremely natural and instantly likeable in all the sequences involving the family members or lover. Even in other parts which seem forces and contrived it is his performance that makes us sit through it.

Velraj-raghuvaran-b-tech-Review
Direction By Velraj?
Debutant director has done a great job in the set up of the film, especially the first half. The whole family angle with bitter sweet relationship has been beautifully presented. The first half of the film is heart of the film and it is its lively heart warming nature that makes us sit through the final act which is completely falling apart

Amala-Paul-raghuvaran-b-tech-Review
Amala Paul and others performance?
Amala Paul’s character begins interestingly. It gives us a hope that we might get a well written heroine character but soon it is relegated to back seat with her being completely absent from central narrative and appearing just randomly. Instead of her it is Saranya who gets a well written and memorable character. She along with Dhanush and Samuthirakhani playing father are really what makes the movie tick. Hrishikesh as brother of Dhanush was decent but Amitash was main adversary was bad. Vivek was seen after a long time doing comedy. He was good.

Music and other departments?
This is where the dubbing suffers. Music of the film was a chartbuster in Tamil but its Telugu dubbed version is not even in the same ballpark. They put breaks on the smoothly flowing film but luckily since most of those are used as part of montages, the effect is not entirely bad. The background score is good. Editing is smooth and crispy in first half. Cinematography is good. Dialogues in the dubbing ranges from okay to good but more than the dialogues its the screenplay and relatable sequences that draw us in.

Alternative take:
A strong villain would have surely made the film even more solid entertainer. The film looses spark once it enters the construction phase with weak villain and childish motives and portrayal.

Did I enjoy it?
Yes.

Will you recommend it?
Yes, only for Dhanush and first half.
