Unlike in Bollywood, these days films in Tollywood aren’t getting released on the prior announced dates. Some films get postponed not for days but weeks and even months and years. Junior NTR’s ‘Rabhasa’ too was delayed for many reasons. And the major reason being the illness of director Santosh Srinivas. Crossing all the hurdles, the film is ready. The makers announced 15th August as the release date locking horns with Surya Samanta’s starrer ‘Sikinder’. But it got postponed once again backing away from competition with Surya’s film.
The new release date is announced as 29th August again competing with Ravi Teja’s ‘Power’. However this time ‘Power’ backed away and as per the latest update Ravi Teja’s movie would be released on 5th September. All these went in favour of ‘Rabhasa’. Surya’s movie which has been considered as tough competition for NTR’s movie released this Friday. News afresh, Surya’s movie is a routine revenge story and will not turn out a competitor for NTR’s film. After two weeks, the impact of ‘Sikinder’ wouldn’t be much. The field is clear for Rabhasa. Procastination has turned boon for NTR’s Rabhasa. Let’s see how far it can cash on the favourable situations.
