Prime Minister Narendra Modi made a surprise visit to Mandir Marg Police Station and pointed out unhygienic conditions/trash out in open.Not stopping with just words, Modi himself wielded a broom and cleaned the surroundings of the station. With Modi springing to action, the staff in the Police Station sprung to action and cleaned the station. Modi is just back from US Trip has started the Swachh Bharat Program today.
The program is the biggest cleanliness drive in the country. At least 30 lakh central government employees working across the country and hundreds of school and college students will take the pledge of cleanliness at different functions. Modi himself took the oath with around 2,700 students from 44 government schools at India Gate. Modi invited 9 people – Mridula Sinha, Sachin Tendulkar, Baba Ramdev, Shashi Tharoor, Kamal Haasan, Priyanka Chopra, Aamir Khan, Salman Khan and the team of TV serial ‘Tarak Mehta Ka Oolta Chashma and Anil Ambani and asked them to work towards a Clean India. He ask them to invite 9 more people too
