Over the past few days, the news about Gabbar Singh 2 being shelved spread like wildfire. With no work being done on the film from few months many assumed that the film has been finally called off and a new project is being set up in its place. Even name of directors like Trivikram Srinivas and Harish Shankar were thrown out as possible directors for the new film that Pawan Kalyan might be starting.
However once again such rumours have been put to rest. The makers have once again issued a statement that the film is very much on and that its regular shooting will begin from October. Before that Pawan Kalyan would be completing the shoot of the film Gopala Gopala where he plays an extended guest appearance. The actor had only recently shot for the film for couple of days and is expected to join the shoot in full-fledged manner from August 2.
Gabbar Singh 2 has been announced almost a year ago with Sampath Nandi as director. In fact the director hasn’t been doing anything besides working on the film for the year or so ever since his attachment to the project. When it was announced that the project was cancelled many felt sympathetic towards the director. Well, now they may be relieved, we guess. Whatever or whenever the film may be getting on to sets we are back to square one again with Gabbar Singh 2. We have a new date of start but know nothing about the cast and crew of the film. Let’s hope things get moving this time, finally!
