Andhra Pradesh Assembly session seem to be totally dedicating its time to Special Status discussion ignoring various important issue. The issue continued to rock the assembly on its second day. YSR Congress is trying to display all its knowledge in explaining how Special Status is important to the state and how NDA government is technically bound to oblige to the promise made by the former Prime minister in the floor of the house.
However the point is giving Special Status is only a political decision of the BJP party. It can be given or rejected at the sole discretion of Narendra Modi. Neither Jagan nor Chandrababu are in a position to bully the central government which has majority on its own.
So frankly speaking Special Status will be given only when BJP high command feels it is beneficial to them in AP. Until then these endless discussions will take it no where. Its high time the house discuss some thing which is in the state jurisdiction.
