What is the film about?
Pisachi is a film about redemption of the ghost. How it happens in what the film is all about.
How is Naga’s performance?
Naga makes his debut as actor with the film but never does one get a feeling of that or any sort of amateurishness shown. He is perfectly apt for the character he is playing and brings out the emotions that one expects on the surface level pretty well. With more films and more work Naaga could surely bloom into a more subtle actor.
Direction By Mysskin?
Mysskin is a master story teller especially in terms of handling emotion in a compact and intense way that packs in a solid punch. He also loves to create great atmosphere to the settings that he chooses and that is on display here as well. Mysskin brings all these elements together to narrate an engaging ghost drama that is about the redemption of the film. It is slow to take off the blocks, almost testing the patience of the audience but once past that initial block is passed one is sure to be hooked to the proceedings till the end. The director deserves kudos for the engaging narration of the subject involving the ghost but that happens without loud and over the top comedy. The ending and overall content is such that it will divide the audience, especially the Telugu one who are used to watching ghost stories with huge doses of comedy, which side of the fence is one is directly proportional to the likability of the film.
Prayaga Martin and others performance?
Prayaga Martin has actually very little to do in terms of acting as her role itself is very small. Apart from hero it is Radha Ravi playing the role of father of heroine that is very important and he delivers a very relatable and connectable performance. Together, Naga and Radha Ravi along with ghost form the mainstay of the film. Rest of the actor’s who again are well picked fill up the overall space in a way that makes the whole enterprise with ghost angle look realistic.
Music and other departments?
There are no songs in the film but the ultimate background score by Arrol Corelli makes one forget about that aspect. The background score especially during the climax is fabulous. Editing is another big plus for the film as it gives a slick look to the product. Cinematography is good. Dialogues give few unintentional chuckles at places but overall are fine.

Alternative take:
The film is fine as it is with a good cast. At best may be one could remove few unnecessarily dragged sequences in the first half and make it more compact but beyond that not much changes are necessary to lead to a whole new film in its place.
