pawan-kalyan-vijayPowerstar Pawan Kalyan and Tamil superstar Vijay are contemporaries who made entry into South Cinema almost at the same time period. The duo share good equation and even acted in the remakes of each other. Pawan’s block buster ‘Kushi’ was remade with Vijay which scored a phenomenal success in Kollywood even. The point of discussion here is the issue regarding Vijay’s ‘Kaththi’.

It is almost clear by now that Pawan isn’t going for the remake of Tamil superstar’s film. There were reports that Kalyan was keen on the remake and hence ordered for a special screening of the movie. Sources say that after watching the movie Kalyan changed his decision and ‘Kaththi’s Telugu dubbing version will soon hit the theatres.

The reason behind is speculated that Pawan doesn’t want to get involved in cases like Vijay got into for the mention of ‘2G Spectrum’ scam in the movie. This guess doesn’t seem to be valid because if Pawan really wants to go for a remake, he can ask for change in dialogues. Anyway even for a remake, the script has to be written again to suit it to the demands of Telugu nativity.

And one more reason is, Vijay being interested in releasing the Telugu dubbing version so as to improve his market in Tollywood. Though he is the next superstar in Kollywood after Rajnikanth, his market in Tollywood is considerably low compared to his colleagues like Surya, Karthi and Vishal. ‘Kaththi’ would provide him a good opputunity for that. Pawan’s decision not to go for a remake is like helping his friend Vijay to achieve his target market. In a way, it’s like helping his friend once again by joining hands with his decision. What say?
