Paddanandi-Premalo-Mari-reviewWhat is the film about?
Ram loves Sravani at the first sight. Sravani too loves him after he saves her from a goon but still she is apprehensive which eventually leads to a breakup after a misunderstanding. What happens next and how do they patch up and unite is what is the film all about.

How is Varun Sandesh’s performance?
Varun sandesh performance is his usual self except that he seems to be enjoying the role bit more than his previous films which is clearly visible on screen. His dances too have certain energy that wasn’t this clearly visible previously. Overall if one takes this energy aspect into consideration this is one of his better outings as hero for sure.

Paddanandi-Premalo-Mari-reviewDirection by Mahesh Upputuri?
Director Mahesh seems to be going through motions without extracting any real juice from the script. Of course with such weak story on hand that might be a difficult task but it is precisely on this weak subjects that more efforts need to be put on the screenplay which is the biggest lacking in the film. Everything happens in a predictable manner and one could guess what is going to come a mile away. This predictability factor takes away any little enjoyment one could have had from this film. This is very weak direction as a result.

Paddanandi-Premalo-Mari-reviewVithika Sheru, Arvind and others performance?
Vithika Sheru has nothing really in the film to show performance wise. Even the few scenes she gets she ruins it with her poor act. Other characters barring that of the main villain have been poorly etched and so shabbily enacted that one doesn’t care about them like the character of Posani for example or others like that of late MS Narayana and Telangana Shakuntala.

Paddanandi-Premalo-Mari-reviewMusic and other departments?
Music is poor, the background score in comparison feels better. Editing is decent at best in few parts. Cinematography should have been better. Dialogue go in with the overall predictability on offer here.

Paddanandi-Premalo-Mari-reviewHighlights?
Couple of songs on screen.
Climax.

Drawbacks?
Predictable story and screenplay.
Weak performances.

Paddanandi-Premalo-Mari-reviewAlternative take:
Things do get interesting even in this predictable story at few moments. A better screenplay that focuses more on those moments which the story had the scope of should have turned this predictable film into far engaging one than it is in its current form.
