uttarandhra seperate stateAndhra Pradesh is still battling the bifurcation woes after parting with Telangana but a new demand rears its head in the truncated state. This time it is from Uttarandhra. A group of people hailing from Vishakapatnam have started an online battler for the separate state and created a special ‘Uttarandhra State’ page on popular social networking site, Facebook.

The page admins say that their objective is to unite the people of Srikakulam, Vizianagaram and Visakhapatnam to fight for separate state. The page already has got more than 600 LIKES. The page admins say the region is continuously being ignored by successive governments.

They say their current focus is on bringing the plight of the people of north coastal AP to the attention of the government. But if the government fails to render justice to the region, the new statehood demand will be the next option. They say Central government refusing separate railway zone with Vishakapatnam as head quarter gave momentum to the page.
