Nirbhaya rapist photo unseenThe documentary maker on Nirbhaya rapist is likely to face legal charges after the issue shook the parliament on Wednesday. The opposition took potshots against the government for permitting BBC to allow the interview of the rapist inside Tihar jail. However the government says the interviewer misused the permission given and a case will be filed.

The documentary was planned to be on air for the upcoming Women’s day but the Information and Broadcasting Ministry had issued orders to refrain the telecast of the documentary. The interview was taken on July 24, 2013 and the permission was issued on the condition that the documentary is being made for totally social purposes without any commercial interest.

In the interview, the rapist made sensational comments that the victim should have cooperated for the rape and also opined that girls are bigger reason for rapes as decent girls should not come on to streets after 8 PM.
