Happy New Year releases in just five days time and as is the norm with any big Hindi film the advance booking of the film opens on Sunday itself. However the distributors of the film Happy New Year, Yash Raj Films have reportedly withhold the advance bookings of the film and will open it only two days prior to the release.
This is against the regular practice and fans as well as trade are baffled by the logic behind it. Generally the good bookings staring from Sunday onwards highlights the craze of the movie and it peaks just a day or two before the release, culminating in a massive opening day numbers. Now with this strategy the advance booking will have to open phenomenally to get the momentum on the release day. Happy New Year is chasing many records with its release and fans are hoping that there are no missteps in the process. Let’s see how this strategy of distributors goes.
