‘A nice combination was wasted. Vijay and I could have been used in a better way,” says Sudeep talking about his experience on ‘Puli’. He personally felt that with the kind of fan following Sudeep has, they could have made a great team.
He doesn’t have regrets, though. He accepted ‘Puli’ was Vijay and he feels sad that their combination didn’t click as expected. It’s not just the combo, the entire premise and execution of the film backfired big way. The first time is always the first time and he lost it with the disaster of ‘Puli’.
Sudeep brought in the comparison with ‘Eega’ in which he played a villain for the first time. ‘Eega’s success and the response he received as a villain in the film made him happy. So, he doesn’t need to prove himself as a villain. Well, we agree that he is one of the finest actors who can take up variety roles and can even fit in negative roles with ease. What say?
