Kumari 21f and Shankarabharanam were two small to medium budget films which gained immense buzz right from the moments their first teasers were launched. At one point it looked like the two films would be going head to head but luckily that wasn’t the case.
Among the two, post the audio launch of the respective films, Shankarabharanam team looked to have more clarity on the release and had all the distributors in place too. Kumari 21f on the other hand had no proper date and were looking at other releases to find that elusive slot. As luck would have it Shankarabharanam team postponed their film from November 20 which was immediately lapped up by Kumari 21f. Today the date has proved to be a major advantage for it.
Shankarabharanam which postponed its film to avoid the big competition from Bengal Tiger faces a similar situation as the latter too has been postponed. The makers of Shankarabharanam therefore are said to ruing at the current scenario. Out of nowhere Kumari 21f has come and stole their thunder. It will be now interesting to see how well the film performs on the current release date and where it stands in comparison to Kumari 21f.
