CBN-KCR-HNPCLAfter a long delay, Hinduja Power Project is all set to start production from January the next year. The first unit of this 1040 MW Power Project will be operational from January and will be producing 520 MW. Telangana government is demanding 53.89% share in the power produced and according has to get 280 MW from the first unit. Recently Hinduja Power Project officials have briefed to AP officials about the project status and are gearing up to make a PPA with Andhra Pradesh.

They are yet to communicate anything to Telangana government regarding the power production or the share Telangana should get from the first unit. Chief Minister K Chandra Sekhar Rao asked the officials to write a letter to the Hinduja people to clarify their stand about Telangana’s share.

However Andhra Pradesh government says that Telangana government will only get a share in the equity of the power plant in the lieu of their share but not a share in the power produced. So this January, both the Telugu states will be brandishing swords on each other once again.
