charmee-kaur

Speaking to a popular Tamil magazine, Charmee said the she would tie the nuptial knot only after winning a National Award. That statement was given by Charmee in December, 2013. But no such role came her way that could be potentially challenging to win her a National Award. She pinned her hopes on her last Telugu release ‘Pratighatana’. But the film flopped miserably destroying all her dreams to win a National Award. Anyway, a film’s success has got nothing to do with winning a National Award. Nevertheless, her performance in the film isn’t worthy enough to win an award.

You might be wondering if Charmee has come to a compromise and decided to go ahead with marriage plans. Nope. According to the latest buzz, Charmee might play the title role for the South remake of superhit Hindi film ‘Queen’. Many big heroines’ names have been considered but they backed away from the offer. Top heroine Samanta too declined the offer saying that she didn’t like the changes made in the name of nativity. Others are afraid of spoiling the original feel and living up to the expectations Kangana Ranaut has created with her fantastic performance.

With all these odds, if Charmee gets to portray ‘Queen’ in the remake and give an outstanding electric performance in par with that of Kangana, there is every chance she might win a National Award for the movie. Though the makers haven’t made anything official yet, her well wishers are hoping she might get the offer. And we the audience would be happy to hear the news of wedding bells ringing for her finally.
