Chandrababu naidu smart planOne of the major concerns for the upcoming capital of Andhra Pradesh is the possibility of the water scarcity in the region. But the Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu has come up with a feasible solution to the problem. The Chief Minister is keen on linking Godavari and Krishna Rivers through Polavaram Right Canal. This will not only solve the water problem in the capital city but also provide water for Krishna delta through out the year.

Even though Polavaram Project will take time to complete, experts say the project need not be completed to execute this idea. Polavaram right canal will be completed within a year and it will be connected to Krishna River at Prakasam barrage.

Linking of Rivers across the country is one of the dream projects of NDA since Vajpayee’s time. Before they could execute the project, Congress came to power and the project was dusted down the carpet. Since linkage of Godavari and Krishna Rivers will be first step towards the Mega Project, Chandrababu is also expecting Center’s cooperation for this plan.
