Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu is residing in Vishakapatnam for the last one week to supervise the restoration and rehabilitation works of those affected by Hudhud Cyclone. Mr.Naidu has been using a large mint-green-and-white bus as his shelter and for commution. Naidu sleeps, eats and workouts in this bus parked at Vishakapatnam collectorate. The bus is more of a comfort than a luxury. It has a sofa, television, tele-conferencing screen and small bedroom with a bed slightly larger than a railway berth.

His day starts as early as 6 AM with review meetings with officials and party leaders. At 11 AM, he makes sudden visits to various parts of the city and take people’s feedback on the relief works. He is in the field almost till 7PM and it is then he gets back in to the bus and treats himself with dry fruits which will be his dinner. He finishes all his review and status meetings by 12.30 AM and retires to bed.

On Friday, the officials are in a surprise, after 12.30 AM, Naidu said ‘let us go into the city to see how far road clearance works have progressed’ and by the time they are back it is nearly 2 am. That speaks volumes about Naidu’s commitment and work ethic. Chandrababu Naidu has declared that he will remain in Vishakapatnam till he restores the smiles on the faces of people whose confidence is shattered by the rude winds.
