Chandrababu-kcr-fight-issueWhile Telangana government is considering the doubling of allowances to its MLAs and giving special allowances to MPs of the state, Chandrababu Naidu led Andhra Pradesh government is exactly taking the opposite route. The state has decided to revoke the car security allowance given to MPs of the Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha and the concerned file already got the signature of the Finance Minister.

The officials say there is no such allowances to MPs in any state and do not want to continue such privileges when the state finances are reeling under the pressure of severe lack of funds. It is said that few MPs tried to exert pressure on the government to backtrack this decision but the Chief Minister is firm on this decision.

On the other side, Telangana government has also put this decision on hold after several political parties suggested the government that such decision may attract public outrage especially when farmers’ suicides have become rampant in the state.
