cbn-press meetDisappointment is a very small word to describe Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu after the Union Budget. The CM addressing the media a short while ago expressed his disappointment regarding the same, “We had lot of hopes on Budget. The Finance Commission couldn’t address the needs of people of AP. This Budget has let us down totally. We are disappointed with this. AP’s needs haven’t figured in the Budget”.

Chandrababu mentioned that the central government failed to provide level playing field to Andhra Pradesh along with neighbouring states. Chandrababu also expressed his disappointment for decreasing funds for agriculture and no funds for linking of funds. He questioned how 100 Crore will be enough to Polavaram project which is estimated at 20000 Crore.

“There is no allocation to Capital Construction. We have Hyderabad, Chennai and Bangalore nearby. How can our capital city compete with out any help from the center? Everyone in the state are disappointed at this budget. Railway budget also did not figure any our demands like Special Railway Zone. There are some incentives given which are of not use”, Chandrababu added. The TDP supremo evaded questions like quitting from NDA government. He concluded that he will take up these issues once again with the Center. He expressed his confidence on Modi to steer the country out of the mess created by UPA government.
