Top heroes fortunes sealed by makers?Following the footsteps of Modi’s government at the center, the cash-strapped Andhra Pradesh had also decided to implement cost-cutting measures to cut down the non-planned expenditure. Chandrababu Naidu has set a target of cutting down the non-planned expenditure by 20% i.e., 17000 Crore approximately to control the budget going to the red zone.

The government has decided to cut down following expenses – Domestic Tours of officials and legislators (63 Crore), Stationery and office establishment costs (96 Crore), Welfare and training programmes (169 Crore) and maintenance works (220 Crore).

The State bifurcation had resulted in a deficit of 15000 Crore for Andhra Pradesh. Adding to that the recent cyclone effect on Uttarandhra had also took its toll on the state finance. The Center promised to help the deficit of the budget in the first year after division. The state government is now eagerly waiting for the center’s help and is keen on implement this cost-cutting measures until the help arrives.
