Several media houses are abuzz with the news of former Minister Mukesh Goud joining Telangana Telugu Desam Party very soon. While both the parties remained mum over this news, Mukesh’s entry will for sure strengthen the party ahead of the GHMC elections. Talasani Srinivas Yadav’s exit from the party had created a void of mass leader in the region, Mukesh Goud will be a perfect fit in such scenario.
It is said that TDP is planning to field Mukesh Goud against Talasani in the bielection of Sanathnagar if at all Talasani’s resignation is submitted to Governor and approved. However, fielding Mukesh will mean the sidelining of Kuna Venkatesh Goud who is the incharge of Sanathnagar. T-TDP will have to pacify Venkatesh Goud as well. Also Mukesh Goud’s son will be accommodated in GHMC.
Mukesh Goud is the nephew of Telugu Desam Senior and Rajya Sabha MP Devender Goud. Despite the family connection, Mr Goud has been in the Congress for more than two decades. Mukesh Goud lost the 2014 elections to the BJP’s Raja Singh from the Goshamahal Assembly constituency.
