power-cuts-in-ts, telangana, power cut

The ‘Power’ woes of Telangana states seem to be never ending. The state is already reeling under heavy pressure to meet the heavy demand of domestic, agricultural and industrial use. Now 22000 outsourcing employees belonging to Telangana Power sector are going on an indefinite strike to compel government to accept their demands like regularizing their temporary jobs to permanent and paying salary directly instead of through consultancies.

Outsourcing employees take care of keeping a check on power transmission and implementing power cuts. With their strike the entire system has gone haywire and it is becoming increasingly difficult to supply power to agriculture in the crucial season time. The strike has reached second day today and Telangana Southern Power Distribution Company Limited has threatened to take action on them if not joined to duty immediately.
