A gang rape incident which happened on Friday in Rangareddy district, Bantwaaram mandal, Baaruvaa Thanda left the people in shock as it happened in broad day light. Reportedly, a gang of rapists had attacked the auto rickshaw, beaten up the father, abducted the girl, gang raped her, later killed her and fled the scene.
This is the story, the minor girl’s father told the police. But the police started suspecting the father, Meghavath Kamal when he told different versions of the story which didn’t seem to co-relate. Finally when police interrogated him, he had accepted to have raped his daughter, killed her and wantedly injured himself.
Taking Kamal Meghavath’s lead yesterday, police have interrogated around 30 individuals but found something fishy. Police say that the father agreed to have committed the crime. This is a heinous kind of child abuse by parents where all the morals surrounding our social norms have to bow down their heads in shame. If a girl is unsafe with her parent, then how safe would she be roaming with people totally strangers to her?
