AP-mini-secretariatAndhra Pradesh government is struggling to convince its employees to shift to the temporary capital immediately. However APNGOs are reluctant to shift there immediately citing lack of proper infrastructure and are coming up with the proposal of a Mini Secretariat in Vijayawada.

This Mini Secretariat will have around 150 employees comprising of all important departments with skeletal staff, who will coordinate with their senior officials in the main secretariat in Hyderabad. The departments which have direct interaction with public like the departments proposed to be set up include pensions, chief minister’s relief fund (CMRF), labour, health, education, commercial taxes, municipal administration and revenue are to be moved.

In such a way, a common man need not come all the way to Hyderabad and will get his problems redressed at the mini secretariat itself. The Chief Minister is yet to take a final call on this.
