In a new twist to the other day’s Metro Controversy, Sources in Telangana government alleges that L&T, the concessionaire of the project is resorting to Corporate blackmail. The popular version of Metro Controversy in Telangana government is “L&T is blackmailing government to escalate the project costs for their benefits. They have taken advantage of KCR’s realignment proposals are demanding hike. There is no way that they are losing 2 Crore per day. In fact, Telangana is at loss as they are willfully delaying the project”.
While Telangana government sources are quoting this in anonymity, TRS leaders are endorsing it in open. They are openly announcing that it was L&T who leaked the letter to press to threaten the government. On the other side, L&T Delhi Head Quarters has taken the allegations serious which they say are aimed at tarnishing the company’s image even after cooperating with the government to sail through the controversy. “We have helped the government save its face by downplaying the incident. Our MD even had to read out a statement written by the government saying every thing is fine, but in return the company gets false allegations on it”.
