Hyderabad-metro-railSeems, the Hyderabad Metro Rail project isn’t having a smooth run and the rift between the officials from both sides is becoming evident at every stage.

While the project officials from Larsen and Toubro are claiming that they are having a tough time getting permissions, Telangana officials contradicting these claims saying all is well and the issues regarding permissions are taken up from time to time.

The main complaints of the L&T officials is on project being delayed for getting permissions and the ambiguity regarding clarity on Sultan Bazar and Assembly stretch. Earlier the T government asked the metro rail to go underground in these places to ensure protection of heritage sites. But the consessionaire L&T declined saying that this suggestion isn’t financially feasible.

The L&T officials opine that the slow pace of the work going on and the delay in the permissions is incurring losses of about Rs.2 crores per day. The prestigious Metro Rail project is already getting delayed by one year because of the improper communcation between the two parties.
