Gannavaram Medha IT Park's future in Naidu's hands! The future of Gannavaram Medha IT Park which was designed by L&T company at a cost of Rs 70 crore in 2010 now lies in the hand of Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu. The IT park was created under the special economic zone with a total of 11 lakh square feet floor area. In the first phase, only 2 lakh square feet floor was constructed and out of which only 25,000 square feet floor area has been occupied by various software companies.

The rest Around 12500 square feet remained vacant. The IT park despite close proximity to Gannavaram Airport could not attract IT companies. Couple of months ago, the government planned to use it for the makeshift offices of various departments but the process got stalled now.

It is now said that the future of the IT park depends on Chandrababu’s IT policy. Speculations are rife that the Chief Minister would allot 500 acres of land for various IT companies. If the land is allotted near the Medha IT Park, it might get automatic response from IT companies.
