The Malkajgiri seat which has big presence of educated and settler voters has become a hot cake in all the parties. The demand for the seat is huge in Telugu Desam Party. Malla Reddy colleges Chairman, Revanth Reddy and Mothukupalli are in the race for the seat. Chandra Babu do not want to field leaders like Revanth Reddy and Mothukupalli in easy seat like Malkajgiri as their presence is required in the remaining districts of Telangana. On the other side, whosoever wins from Telangana Parliament seats are expected to get Central Ministries in Modi’s government. So, leaders are eyeing Malkajgiri seat.
There are allegations that Mallareddy had given 20 Crores Party fund for this particular seat. On the other side, Revanth Reddy supporters are staging protests outside Chandra Babu’s Residence. Revanth Reddy is using all his contacts in TDP to exert pressure on Chandra Babu. Tomorrow is the last day for nominations in Telangana. We will have to see how it unfolds for Malkajgiri seat!
