ok-bangaram-lover-suicideMany of us talk about ‘life’ being the most precious thing and sacrificing it for fickle things is something above madness. It’s really shocking to hear that one lover boy committed suicide just for a trifle thing. A salesman from Coimbatore asked his girlfriend to accompany him to Tamil version of ‘Ok Bangaram’. But when she refused, he simply ended his life.

This seems to be nothing but madness. It’s really paining to know that people can go to the lengths of ending their life for not watching a movie. What does such mindset suggest? Is it the effect of only movies or else the increased stress in our lives in this fast generation? Treating life so meanly also can be attributed to the failure in the relations and also the inner tensions building up between individuals.

Yet in an another incident today, a woman who has a seven-year old child ended her life because her husband didn’t concede to her proposal to go shopping with her in Big Bazaar and later to a movie. These two examples serve as best examples how people’s lifestyle is woven in such a way not knowing what is really precious; a movie or our life?
