Unchecked Lecture Allu Arjun Distancing Himself from NRISometimes, it is wiser to let the bygones be bygones. Seems Harish Shankar didn’t read about this proverb, ever. When we thought that the controversy he created by his swordplay on critics and reviewers came to a stop, he revived it yet again in the United States tour.

Even Allu Arjun joined that unchecked lecture to the NRIs. ‘Duvvada Jagannadham‘ team is presently touring the United States as they were invited by North American Telugu Sangam (NATS) and they have got the opportunity to use the platform to promote their movie.

Harish Shankar sounded a bit rude when he said that NRIs spend the majority of their time in front of the computers and advised the NRI audiences to at least watch movies in theatres, not in computers. “Don’t read reviews and watch a movie, go to theatres and form your own opinion.”

Are the ticket costs affordable for the NRI audiences to go and watch every movie and decide whether it is a good one or a bad one? $20 – $25 minimum for a ticket and when a family wants to watch a movie, it had to spend a bomb. It’s better to know whether it is worth spending that huge money on the movie. Isn’t this the reason why reviews have become very crucial for NRIs in the overseas?

Allu Arjun too continued the same lecture asking NRIs to watch all small and big films in theatres ignoring reviews or else, wait till the movie comes on television. He also said if a big film fails in US there is no impact on the film. He may be right but what about the US distributor? In the recent times, many of the big films weren’t able to collect the break even figures due to the high prices they were bought for and high ticket price is one of the factors that played spoil sport, besides the poor content and poor ratings. Can all or most of the NRI audiences afford to watch each and every big & small film, and decide for themselves which movie is good and which one bad? Harish and Arjun conveniently ignored these things which actually are crucial to a movie’s success in the overseas?
