What is the film about?
The film deals with a heroine turned lady politician who becomes Chief Minister of the state for the third time and is almost unstoppable with various welfare schemes. When every thing looked super fine, a special court turns everything upside down with an old case and it lands her in jail.
How is Puratchi Thalaivi’s performance?
Puratchi Thalaivi is a great performer by all standards. The ease with which she brings about variations in her character as a cine heroine turned politician, the pain of a woman leader who faces discrimination, her rise to power and downfall as a corrupt politician are outstanding.
Direction By GOD?
Like Rajamouli’s unbeaten record in Tollywood, GOD has immense track record of paying back for the past sins. He is adept at handling every kind of genre and especially if it a political movie, it is child play for him. Perfect plot, superb intriguing script, tight narration and the ability to extract wonderful performances from all the artists. He had shown once again that he can bring characters alive on the Life Screen.
Subramaniam Swamy & Others performance?
Subramanya Swamy (opposition party president) is lively and perfect fit for a character that can challenge the most powerful main lead of the film. He is strictly superb and wonderfully well timed.
John Michael (Judge) steals the show though he has got a short role in the last minute but he is a talent to look out for.
Music by Supreme Court & Other Departments?
Back Ground Music rendered by Supreme Court is superb and elevates the real drama. Consistency is maintained throughout and overall BGM perfectly echoes the underlying drama. The pace of the movie never slackens and twists keep the audience engaged throughout the movie.
Production values are great. Infact the 840kgs of silver, 28 kgs gold, 10,000+ sarees, 750 sandals and crores of money spent are lavishly visible on the screen in every scene.

The tragic end of the movie might not go well with all the audiences and especially Puratchi Thalaivi’s fans will be utterly disappointed on the climax.
