Telangana Chief Minister K Chandra Sekhar Rao’s son and the state’s IT minister, K Taraka Rama Rao is deemed as the number two in the Telangana government by many despite there are many seniors leaders in the party and the government. However KTR does not want to be flattered with accolades like ‘Number2’, ‘Young tiger’ etc. At a private event recently, KCR interrupted the speaker to ask him not to address him as Young Tiger and at other event, when he is asked the reason why TRS is associated with ‘Pink’, he proudly flaunted that pink is the new black.
KTR always try to avoid the question who is the Number 2 in the government. “The Number One is KCR himself and from then every one in the cabinet are Number 2s. That is how Telangana government works”, he says with a quirky smile. KTR holds an MBA degree in Marketing & E-commerce from Baruch College-City University of New York. He worked as Regional Sales Director at INTTRA for 6 years before venturing in to politics. Despite being a foreign returned, KTR is a very effective orator in Telugu just like his father.
