Krishnamma-Kalipindi-iddarini-reviewWhat is the film about?
The film is a pure love story between Krishna (Sudheer Babu) and Radha (Nanditha).

How is Sudheer Babu’s performance?
First of all props to the actor for choosing to do the film amidst the routine commercial entertainers that we see week after week. There is definitely a marked improvement in the performance of the actor which is visible in the climax but apart from that block rest is his usual stuff with an attempt at a coy and shy body language.

Krishnamma-Kalipindi-iddarini-reviewDirection By R Chandu?
Chandu has a neat blueprint to adapt in Telugu which he does very effectively. But the problem is the magic is missing despite the best efforts from people involved. Films like these which have a thin story have to rely on the screenplay and performances to create an impact. Krishnamma Kalipindi Iddarini lacks a bit on both fronts which ultimately makes it a decent watch at best. First half of the film is decent, second half starts on a wobbly note but ends well due to the climax. Chandu could have handled few key portions well to create a solid impact overall. The two actions scenes were unnecessary.

Krishnamma-Kalipindi-iddarini-reviewNandhitha, Sapthagiri and others performance?
Nanditha is a superb performer and her small glances in climax alone are a proof of that. Unfortunately the actress hasn’t been given much to do in the film. Even the rest of the cast, which is limited, gets moment or two to shine like Pragati in the emotional scene of second half.

Krishnamma-Kalipindi-iddarini-reviewMusic and other departments?
Music by Hari is the film’s biggest plus along with the background score. Whatever little effect the film has while watching is created primarily due to his efforts. Cinematography is good in few scenes and helps create a mood for the background score. Editing is fine. Dialogues are really good in few instances like the one’s in the climax otherwise they give a feeling of trying too hard.

Krishnamma-Kalipindi-iddarini-reviewHighlights?
Music & BGM.
Idea of romance.
Climax.

Drawbacks?
Predictable screenplay.
Lack of heart touching or memorable dialogues.
Unnecessary action sequences.

Krishnamma Kalipindi Iddarini ReviewAlternative take:
There is not much to do when one is trying to make a film of this type. The performances have to be really good and that alone will elevate the film to such a degree that it would feel like new film. No wonder from time to time people try similar plots with different actor with the hope that the magic is created in any one.

Did I enjoy it?
Only few parts.

Will you recommend it?
To die hard romantics only.
