Kona venkat two weeks reviewsThis is an appeal made by star writer Kona Venkat on stage, during the audio launch event of Raj Tarun and Avika Gor starrer ‘Cinema Chupista Maava’. He requested media not to write reviews for small films, made with a budget below Ra.10 crore. These days when 100 days run for films has become a dream, he puts forward a thought imported from B’Town.

He made a mention of Bollywood style review writing where producers sector, theatres sector and distribution sectors have called upon media and appealed to them to hold reviews of small films atleast for two weeks so that industry and media together can encourage small films. Kona opines, this way small films can have a good run.

Kona also says reviews are killing small films. Media reviews many times help in promoting small films which didn’t have good promotional strategy because of financial constraints. Can really a small film live, if not driven by content and proper story telling? Will stopping reviews for two weeks help them big way? Do you also agree with Kona?
