It is an open fact that Telangana State BJP President Kishan Reddy is always opposed to an alliance with Telugu Desam Party. But party’s high command wanted a tie-up in the general election but could not get favourable results due to several reasons. Kishan Reddy again did not want an alliance with TDP in Medak by-poll but Amit Shah decided that they will go together once again. Chandra Babu even dictated terms to BJP in selecting Jagga Reddy as the party candidate.
However fed up with all this, Kishan Reddy and his coterie of leaders in BJP are conspiring on Medak by-poll. Despite the cadre and financial support extended by TDP in Medak, BJP leaders there are not at all cooperating with TDP cadre and leaders there. It is said that Kishan Reddy wants TRS to win the Medak seat with a thumping 5 Lakhs majority and wanted to portray alliance with TDP as the reason for the party’s defeat. Kishan Reddy at any cost wants BJP to go alone in the GHMC elections scheduled for the year end. However such step will be suicidal as TDP enjoys huge support from the settler base in the GHMC region.
