For Telugu audience Mass Maharaja Ravi Teja’s ‘Kick’ is one special film which showed the heights of being crazy in the most entertaining way. And the Hindi remake of the same with the same title starring Salman Khan might have been one of the biggest grosser in Bollywood, for Telugu audience it seemed to be a big disappointment when compared to the energy of Ravi Teja.
It comes as no surprise for Telugu audience that Salman Khan was nominated for the worst actor category (Kick and Jai Ho) alongwith Ajay Devgan and Saif Ali Khan for more than one film. But for Bollywood audience, ‘Kick’ was a superhit movie which brought back him immediately into success track after one low film ‘Jai Ho’.
Like ‘Golden Khela Awards’, ‘Ghanta Awards’ are also given for various categories for worst performance. Interestingly for the worst couple category, alongwith Salman-Daisy and Ajay Devgan-Sonakshi pairs, Ranveer Singh and Arjun Kapoor jodi from ‘Gunday’ (Priyanka Chopra happens to be the heroine of Gunday) have been nominated :-).
