Sumanth Ashwin Kerintha ReviewWhat is the film about?
The film is basically about a group of friends who discover what their career goals are and eventually their love, set in the backdrop of collage.

How is Sumanth Ashwin’s performance?
Once again Sumanth Ashwin comes up with his usual act that we have seen him do in films like Anthaku Mundu Aa Taruvata, Lovers etc. There is scope here to showcase the emotions but those sequences are cleverly constructed such that his shortcomings are covered in this department. There is not much to say on dances either.

Sai Kiran Adivi Kerintha ReviewDirection By Sai Kiran?
The director had previously made the fairly enjoyable Vinayakudu, so there were little hopes on him to deliver a product that just merely adhered to the formula. Remember formula doesn’t only mean the usual commercial masala films, there are many genre based films that too have their clichés and eventually appear formulaic. Kerintha belongs to this category and a lot of it has to do with the direction that just goes through motion without adding any bite to the proceedings.

Once again this is a film that has its little moments throughout but they sprinkled out in vast spaces of emptiness overall. Overall it’s a step down for the director.

Sri Divya Kerintha ReviewSri Divya, Tejaswi and others performance?
There are number of actors but Sri Divya could be seen as main female lead as she pair with the main hero. Duration wise she had small part compared to other actor’s but she still manages to make her presence felt. Among the remaining one Parvateesam easily outshines everyone else. Although he feels repetitive after a point he is still the one who gives the film much needed pace and entertainment. Following him is the actress playing Bhavana. These are the actor’s who bring seriousness to the film. The rest simply occupy space but do nothing emotionally.

Micky J Mayer Kerintha ReviewMusic and other departments?
Music by Mickey J Mayer is average when heard as a standalone audio but in the film it lends smoothness to the narrative. The background music, although nothing memorable, is adequate. Cinematography is good in patches and it is the case with editing too. Dialogues are mixed bag with few working.

Highlights Kerintha ReviewHighlights?
Few emotional dialogues.
Songs placement.

Drawbacks?
Predictable story.
Poor screenplay.
Flat narration.

Drawbacks Kerintha ReviewAlternative take:
The screenplay could have been peppered with more unpredictably yet retaining the core emotions in tack. The entire track involving Tejaswini could be more spiced up. Or the track involving Parvateesam could have been linked or used as parallel to main track. The different backgrounds of characters rather than being merely character descriptions should have been properly integrated in the main story.

Did I enjoy it?
No.

Will you recommend it?
Only to diehard lovers of this genre.
