KCR-irrational-demand

Till the other day, the Central government was saying that Telangana government is not reaching as much as it would like. Telangana Chief Minister finally mended his way and reached out to Delhi but this time with irrational demands. KCR was requesting Finance Minister Arun Jaitley to sanction Special Status to the newest state of the country. KCR put forth the argument that eight out of the ten districts are backward and the new state need some ventilation support to flourish. However experts term this demand of KCR as irrational as Telangana enjoys a surplus budget.

This demand comes at the time several states like Orissa, Andhra Pradesh awaits the Special Status with genuine causes and reasons. Experts say this may be a strategical move by KCR to put pressure on Center not to grant AP the special status. Even if center grants AP the status, he can easily play the victim card before Telangana people and blame the BJP and the central government for neglecting the new state.
