KCR-Narendra-Modi-photoTelangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao may have abused Narendra Modi more than any other opposition party leaders in the country. He called the then Gujarat Chief Minister and now Prime Minister with names such as Bodi, Fascist, Sannasi etc. However it did not take much time for KCR to realize that it will do no good to be at wrong side when BJP enjoys absolute majority at the center.

Telangana government’s stand has softened on the center over the last one month. We have seen Telangana MPs and Ministers reiterating that their government is in good terms with the Center. Even TRS MPs have been supporting the center’s stand on all the bills in the parliament. Buzz in Delhi is that KCR even proposed to join TRS in NDA government.

Earlier BJP tried for an alliance with TRS before the election for which KCR did not accept. But KCR now offered BJP unconditional support at the center and also few cabinet berths for BJP in the state given they totaly desert TDP here. However BJP seem to be not interested in this proposal as they expect TRS to draw flak in coming years due to the various problems the new state is facing like Power etc. But KCR’s change of stance is certainly an interesting political development.
