Telangana Chief Minister K Chandra Sekhar Rao in his recent interaction with scribes clarified that Telangana government will never ever accept the Center’s proposal for imparting special powers to Governor over the common capital, Hyderabad for the next 10 years. The CM reiterated that it is only intrusion in to the affairs of the state and no state in country will tolerate such interference of the Central government.

Currently only Arunachal Pradesh Governor has such special powers under the prevailing special conditions there. KCR government says that the constitution needs to be amended to bring those restrictions on to Telangana. KCR government is planning to approach the Supreme Court and seek the support of other states in case Center does not backtracks from the issue.
