KCR temple telangana protection

Telangana Chief Minister K Chandra Sekhar Rao had now shifted his concentration on to temple lands which are encroached by land sharks. He ordered the officials to clear the encroachments in the 47.19 acres in Banjara Hills which belongs to Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy temple of Nalgonda. The government also cancelled the land allotted to Hare Krishna movement by the late YSR government in 2009. Out of the 4.38 acres allotted to Hare Krishna, 2.14 acres belonged to the revenue department and the rest to the endowments department.

On the other side, the endowments department has taken the Venkateshwara temple in Adilabad town into their custody from the Marvadi Trust. The trust was given the responsibility of running the temple for three years. During this period, there are massive irregularities by the trust including trying to move the idol to a new temple and give away the old site to a function hall. The agreement came to an end by August 28 and the Chief Minister ordered endowments department to take the temple administration.
