The budget for the Telangana State was completed by the officials few days ago and was submitted to Chief Minister K Chandra Sekhar Rao recently but the CM rejected it out rightly. KCR felt that the officials even in the new state took the ‘old wine in the new bottle’ approach which will not fit in to his vision. He ordered a new budget to be prepared with an innovative and refreshing approach that will aide the aspirations of millions for Bangaru Telangana.

KCR wanted the budget not to be a balance sheet of income and expenditure but it need to have a clear cut map about how resources can be well utilized, how wealth can be created and also set realistic targets for each department which can be monitored and assessed over a period of time. The officials were given 15 days more time to bring out the new budget and to facilitate it, Telangana budget session is now pushed from September to October.
